Vase Centerpieces

I saw these vases that were centerpieces to HWTM's Pink Party series and thought they'd be perfect to make with any event. You just change the color of the papers! Beautiful!

PINK RIBBON TRIO Centerpiece

You’ll Need:
  • Glass cylinder vases in 3 different heights
  • Decorative pink papers in 4-5 different patterns
  • Rhinestone word stickers (optional)¼” pink fabric ribbon
  • Pink Flowers (enough for all 3 vases)
  • Tape & Double-stick tape
  • Scissors or Paper Cutter
Directions:Trim 3 different patterns of paper to a height that matches each of the 3 vases, then wrap each vase completely. Use tape to secure the first edge, then double-stick tape to secure the outer edge of the wrap to create a clean seam.
Next, trim a different, contrasting strip of paper to place on top of the first layer of each vase. The top layer should be anywhere between ¼ – ½ the height of the first layer. Line the edge created between the 2 layers of paper with the light pink ribbon.
Next, add the flowers. We used a small potted pink hydrangea plant for the tall vase and tight bunches of bright pink roses for the shorter vases.
Finally, add the rhinestone word stickers (optional), as well as a small pink ribbon symbol to the top of the tallest vase.

Noah's Ark Baby Shower

A friend of mine hosted a baby shower this past Friday. The little guy's name will be Noah, so the baby shower was appropriately themed Noah's Ark. I had so much fun making everything for it these last 3 weeks. I was able to learn a few new things in crafting and Kolini gained a newfound appreciation for all things crafty and even for Michael's. :) We had a great time! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

I made the door sign. It welcomed the guests as they arrived to see Noah's Ark.

The famous Martha Luminarias. I love these! They add splashes of color everywhere!

One of the guests made this yard sign.

The table spread before all of the various dishes arrived . I heard there was A LOT of food!

I made these napkin rings with the Baby Noah monogram. This was my first time making them.
I made the centerpieces with pots, wood/felt animal cutouts and a whole lot of tissue paper! They matched the luminarias and tied everything together.
I made these cupcake toppers as well. They're actually more like appetizer picks since there were no cupcakes at this event. They matched the napkin rings perfectly!
I made 6 different pots. I think they are my favorite centerpieces that I've made thus far. They're right up there with the Minnie Mouse pots.

The tealights were Kolini's idea and I'm sure they looked great once the sun went down. I was unable to stay for the shower but with the tealights and the lampposts, it must have looked perfect!

More luminarias.....of course!!

Kolini had a great idea. She put up a clothesline and hung baby clothes with various animals on them. The mom-to-be was able to take them home for Noah, afterward. Brilliant!

We had these "Welcome Baby Noah" stickers made. The favors were cute and simple. Animal cookies in a small bag tied with a ribbon and an animal sucker. The suckers were Kolini's idea. She found them at Oriental Trading Company. They were PERFECT for this shower.

Another great idea from Kolini. She got animal beach balls at Oriental Trading Company and threw them in her pool to finish off the theme in the event space. They were so cute!

I hope the mom-to-be had a great time. Kolini and I enjoyed planning all the little details. It was great! Welcome Baby Noah!

Minnie Mouse Madness

My niece, Ireland Claire, turned 1 this weekend and we hosted a pink Minnie Mouse birthday party. It was a lot of fun and Ireland had a blast! (So did her mommy, Kim and myself. We had a blast decorating. And Maggie helped too!) It was REALLY hot....we had triple digit weather, but everyone managed to enjoy themselves. The snow cone machine came in handy!

Kim made this Minnie poster collage to show every month of Ireland's first year.

We had pictures in picture frames. The LOVE and PRINCESS wood cutouts were $1 at Michael's.

The Cake Table displayed Ireland's photos with Minnie ears on, one with her mommy and the goodie bags for the little ones.

Ireland's birthday gift from Caden. Mickey's Playhouse Tent!

Prizes for the games were guarded by Minnie Mouse.

My famous terracotta pot centerpieces. These Minnie Mouse heads were made with styrofoam balls that were staked together and spray painted black. I got the wood/felt crowns and dowels at Michael's. Kim and Maggie did a great job putting the Minnie heads together!

Take out boxes contained pretzels and our beautiful Minnie heads.

We had bubbles for the little ones in this basket. The Mickey Head confetti was made on a Cricut.

The gift table....BEFORE all the gifts covered it completely. :)

The party spot!

The Mickey & Friends bounce house.

The Birthday banner....

The cake, courtesy of Grandma Rose. She's so talented!

Minnie Rice Krispy Treats......made by my sister in law Kim and her friend Emily. Maggie should get credit too....she babysat, right Mags?!

The birthday girl's cake throne!

Ireland and her mommy

Maggie was the snow cone lady. This thing was a BRILLIANT idea! It was over 100 degrees that day!

Pin-the-bow-on-Minnie! Kim's sister and mom made it! Creative ladies!

The gorgeous birthday girl in her party dress!

The kids got Mickey and Minnie sunglasses. Caden loved his. He walks around the house wearing them now!

Happy Birthday to the little love bug! We were all so happy to help her celebrate and I was glad to host it! The least I could do for my niece!
