Remember when you were younger and you LOVED roller coasters??  

Well, I do!  I LOVED roller coasters.  I would get on one then run right back in line to go again. I would wait hours to ride the latest roller coaster claiming to be the fastest, tallest or most spectacular, man-made piece of steel ever created. I even recall riding the Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm, when I was on a 7th grade field trip, then getting off and riding again and again for a total of eight times in a row.  That was me. That was me when I was fearless. That was me when I had no babies. In fact, that was me less than 6 years ago.  

Recently my husband and I went to Knott's Berry Farm {without our kiddos}.  We got there early and got on about four roller coasters.  By noon that day I realized one thing.  I'm getting OLD!  I was nauseous and felt like I was car sick.  I realized very quickly, that Camp Snoopy was where I belonged.  There is no need for me to have to go on roller coasters!  At all!  In October, Knott's Berry Farm invited a few of us local bloggers to bring our kids to experience Camp Spooky {the kids section, normally called Camp Snoopy, which had a Halloween theme at the time}.  I got on those childrens' rides with my little man, with no problems or motion sickness issues.  We walked around all day and were able to experience every single attraction in Camp Spooky.  Every single one! We even enjoyed lunch there and were able to drive home in time for his afternoon nap.  It was the perfect day!!  No roller coasters, no sickness, just me and my boy.  

So this is what I have concluded:

1.             I am too old for some things.

2.     Pregnancy throws off your body...and your balance...and it makes you age.

3.            The theme park kiddie-land section is where I belong from now on.  It's where I won't feel so old because the rides won't make me sick.

4.            Knott's Berry Farm is the perfect place to take the family because we all get to enjoy ourselves.  It's where we can all be kids again.  And for those who choose to live on the wild side, they can still enjoy those scary, twisting, turning pieces of steel that the youngins' call roller coasters.

If you live in Orange County, I'd just like to suggest that you try Knott's Berry Farm this summer.  I know we in the OC have our pick at some pretty amazing theme parks.  We're spoiled, really. But I think you will be glad to know that Knott's is certainly capable of contending with our local theme parks.  And the price of the annual pass is incomparable!  You get affordable family fun for only $69.99 for adults and $64.99 for seniors (62+) and kids (3-11). The savings are phenomenal, if you ask me! I know what you're asking, now.
