How to Wear Jelly Sandals: Our favorite childhood shoes are back in style!

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Jelly Beans but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #JellysAreBack http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

We all had them.  The jelly sandals that we rocked with every ruffly skirt, bright legging or palazzo pants we had as little girls.  My favorite pair was the clear ones.  I liked them because I could see my toes and they matched EVERYTHING I had.  Of course, back then every item in my wardrobe was a really BRIGHT color, so clear shoes were more than perfect.

As of last week, I am channeling my inner 10 year old.  I got a new pair of clear jelly sandals from Australian company Jelly Beans!  Just this month they began selling their jelly sandals online here in the US.  And the best part is that shipping is FREE!  I mean, come on!  FREE.  No coupon code needed.  They even come with a small bag of jelly beans to sweeten the deal.

Naturally, I'll be wearing mine with everything, just wait and see!  For now, here are a few looks that I think go perfectly with jelly sandals.  (DISCLAIMER:  I'm no fashion maven, and most days in the summer I'm wearing jeans, but the opinions below are the humble opinions of a girl who thinks she has but an ounce of fashion sense, and just not the financial ability to prove it.  Also, please ignore my white legs.  It's sad considering I live in southern California AND I'm Mexican, but they just refuse to tan.)

In this outfit, the clear jelly sandal neutralizes the bright, bold color on the dress.  And the sandals make it look sweet, summery and pretty.  Combine with cute accessories and it's perfection!

The pattern on these shorts is highlighted by the white tee on top and the clear sandals beneath it.  Wearing the jelly sandals on this outfit is a perfect combo.  And to add a pop of color, you can wear a bright or neon nail polish on your toes.  A fresh pedicure is a great accessory....always, really.

The polka dot pattern of the shirt and the bold blue color of the skinny jeans are both competing for attention.  The jelly sandals tone it down and give it a fun and vibrant look.

The cool, plaid color tones of the shirt are a great way to wear jelly sandals.  The plaid is distracting, but not enough to call attention away from the jelly sandals.  The plaid and the clear work in unison to make this otherwise simple outfit, look fun and fresh.

If you've been missing these awesome 90's shoes, you're in luck.  They're making a comeback!  Even celebrities have gotten on the jelly sandals train.  Look!

Don't be jelly, instead, get yourself a pair, too!  They even have them in girls sizes so you and your favorite little girl can match.  Or just so you can instill your love of jellies on your children. Every generation needs to know the fashion fun that can be had with jelly sandals.  And with FREE shipping, these might make a great birthday gift for all the birthdays on your list.  You could pull an Oprah and start giving sandals to everyone.  (In Oprah voice), "You get jelly sandals, and you get jelly sandals, and you get jelly sandals.  Everybody gets jelly sandalsssssssss!!!"

    1. They don't come in glittery pink, but they do have glittery clear. They also have some pretty neat neon colors. :)

  6. Hey Wendy! What size did you get your Jbeans? Is the fit true to size or should I go smaller?
